At Focus 1st Academy, our Welwyn campus provides a wide range of academic, vocational, and enrichment opportunities. Students can access core GCSE subjects including Maths, English, Science, P.E. and Textiles, Functional skills in Maths and English alongside exciting vocational pathways such as Hair & Beauty, Hairdressing, and Cookery.

To support health, confidence, and teamwork, pupils also enjoy outstanding facilities and activities including use of the gym, skiing, tennis, badminton, and football.

Our aim is to ensure every learner thrives through a balance of academic study, practical skills, and enrichment experiences.

Extra Curricular Activities

At our Welwyn campus, students benefit from access to a broad range of sporting opportunities, including tennis, use of the gym, skiing, golf, badminton, football, and use of the running track. These activities are embedded into daily provision to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and resilience, while supporting pupils’ personal development, confidence, and wellbeing.
