SAFEGAURDING &
ONLINE SAFETY
At Focus 1st Academy, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils is our top priority. We are committed to providing a caring, supportive environment where every young person feels safe, respected, and able to reach their full potential. Safeguarding is central to everything we do, and we work closely with pupils, families, and external agencies to ensure all members of our school community are protected from harm.

In an increasingly digital world, online safety is a vital part of our safeguarding approach. We help pupils develop the knowledge and skills to use technology safely, respectfully, and responsibly. Through our curriculum and ongoing guidance, we empower them to recognise potential risks online and to know what to do if they ever feel unsafe or unsure.

All staff at Focus 1st Academy receive regular safeguarding and online safety training to ensure they can identify concerns early and provide effective support. On this page, you’ll also find a range of helpful resources, guidance, and links to support parents, carers, and pupils in staying safe both in school and online.

If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a pupil, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or a member of our safeguarding team.
